I'm Really Happy/Excited Because....

That's fantastic Aurora. It is so wonderful to hear how well things are going with you and Colin. Why can't I find me a man like that? lol. And Puerto Rico! Nice! I really really need a vacation but I have no money. I wonder if I can convince my parents to pay for a vacation for me as a grad gift.

I am happy because as of right now I am completely on top of things and I have my life on track. I'm keeping up with my school work, I'm exercising, I'm keeping track of my finances, I have a really good prospect for a second job, and just in general I'm being very productive and organized. That being said I'm exhausted lol. But it's better than feeling like a lazy bum and so now at least when I do sit down to watch some tv or a movie or chat with my roomies I don't feel bad about it and I feel like I deserve a little break and so I can actually enjoy my downtime.

That's great, Kaz. It's always nice to feel productive, and it's good that you're exercising and keeping track of things, because that tends to reduce stress, so in the end it will all be worth it.

I am kinda excited, because I start my full-time internship tomorrow. I'm really excited to work at the facility I'll be at, and to work with my supervisor there. She's really influential in my field, so it's going to be a really exciting learning experience.

Unfortunatley between the monday-friday internship and working saturday and sunday so that I can actually afford to pay my bills, i won't have a day off until May. But it will all be worth it in the end, I guess.

Wow that is super crazy. I kinda know how you feel although it's not as extreme. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday I'm at school for atleast 8 hours. I work Saturday, Sunday and most Mondays. I sometimes work a closing shift Wednesday nights. My only day for myself is Friday in which I only have a 2 hour lab in the middle of the day. Although this past Friday I picked up a closing shift at work as well.

But ya that is really fantastic Aurora. The internship sounds amazing. You are going to gain so much experience.

I'm just happy because I seriously love the people I live with. Even when I'm feeling down this house keeps me laughing. I seriously laugh for a couple hours a day living in this house. And I mean like serious laughter ... can't breathe, bring you to tears laughter. Obviously there are a few minor issues when you are living with 4 boys but overall it is freakin fantastic. Now I just need to get me one more man and I'll be set

I'm really excited because I just finished and turned in my final paper of my college career. No more APA format, hours of research, proof-reading, outlines, and all that other crazy stuff. so so so so so so relieved.

So I'm really excited right now, because i found out that i recieved the peg connolly scholarship, which is this huge deal in therapeutic recreation, because it's through our professional organization, ATRA (American Therapeutic Recreation Association), and it's to go to the national conference in Spokane, Washington in September. They pay for the entire conference and my accomodations, and give me a $100 food voucher. I just have to pay for airfair, which is only going to cost me around $300.

Also, I have a phone interview for a really good job tomorrow, that I really want, and I think I have a pretty good chance of getting it. I'm in a very good mood right now.

I'm excited because i am moving! It's only one town over and about four minutes from my mom's house, but i finally got a little 1 bedroom apartment of my own. I move on Saturday!

OMG Aurora that is soooooooo exciting. I'm so happy for you. Totally meant to respond to this right away but believe me I have been swamped.

So good news is that I have started volunteering on a biology project at UBC and if I stick with it I get my name on a paper. (Bad news is that means I'm working 5 days a week plus volunteering 1 which doesn't leave much free time). Second piece of good news is that I have a date on this upcoming Tuesday. I'm not going to make a huge deal of it because we all know what can happen but things look promising. It is a prospect at least. Third, it's my birthday weekend and I am super excited for my party on Friday, 50% off haircut Saturday, and Oscar party Sunday. It's going to be a good weekend and check out what my roomie made me. So we are doing this thing where we are leaving the Christmas tree up all year and decorating it for every holiday, including birthdays. Plus other decorations and wall art. First was Australia Day because we have 2 aussie roommates. Then was valentines day and we put "all you need is love" on the wall. For my birthday this is what I convinced my art student roomie to put on the wall. Check it! She did an even more amazing job than I could ever imagine. It's a line from a Semi Precious Weapons song and it's perfect for me because my old roomie and I always drink champagne for pre-drink.

So this is extremely belated, but how was your date?

Now I'm belated. The date was good but things didn't end up working out with the guy. He was a bit boring. I just wasn't feeling it. And since then I've had another boy encounter and that one turned out disastrous. The guy was a total douchebag. Anyway I don't care cause I don't need a man but it's just frustrating. Life is good otherwise. Not to get too excited but I might be starting a new job soon. Actually just turning my volunteer job into full-time work. But it would mean I could get out of sears. It's not 100% yet though so I don't want to get too excited. Also I'm going to Hawaii with my parents beginning of July for my dad's b-day so I'm really excited about that.
