I'm Really Happy/Excited Because....

that is nice. i wish danielle and i had some classes together.

however, i do have all my classes with the other seniors in my major who i'm pretty good friends with (most of them), and we all have these big gaps in our schedule (for example, wednesdays classes are Clinical Procedures 10-11:20, Research and Evaluation 2:00-3:20, and Administration 5:30-8:00) so we all have nothing to do but study together since we're on campus like all day long. so that's nice, because at least i don't have those long breaks by myself.

I just got back from my Raleigh/North Carolina trip. It was so much fun. Colin and I are awesome together. We just have so much in common, but enough stuff different that it makes us interesting. I had soooooooo much fun. I can't wait to go visit him again. Pictures are up on Facebook if anyone is interested.

I'm happy because today I leave for Creative Writing Camp! It's my second year going now. It's three days of just chilling out and writing and it's such an awesome time with some of my really good friends. We've all been counting down for weeks, haha, so excited. And Jaclyn Moriarty, one of my favourite authors of all time, is our guest author. Trying to stop myself from being a fangirl right now.

I have a job interview on Tuesday for an Activities Assistant job that I really want at a nursing home by my house. I know the administrator there, so i have a good feeling about how the interview will go, and it's for a dementia unit, and they were really impressed with my resume and that i'm presenting at a conference on "Implementing Appropriate and Meaningful Art Groups for Individuals with Dementia".

AND I have an interview on Friday morning for an internship at my number one choice. I really hope I get it!!!!!

I just got home from a great interview at my still-in-college-part-time dream job. Basically it's at a nursing home that is trying to convert their entire long-term care section into a Dementia unit. I would work some evenings and weekends on the unit, providing Recreation Therapy for the residents. They're looking for new ideas (which I have), and someone who is passionate about working with Dementia (I am), and basically they pretty much hired me right on the spot. I just have to go in for a second interview with the therapist on that unit, who would be my supervisor. But one of the coolest things (aside from loving the population, having a really cool, fun job, and it being like 3 minutes from my house) is that I would get an office!!!! I don't know why I'm so excited about the prospect of getting an office, but I really am. I just think it's really cool, after sharing a desk with my boss and three other receptionists for five years, now I'm going to an office AND my own desk.

I got the job that I wanted at Harlee Manor!!!!!

And I put in my notice at work just like 10 minutes ago. I am so happy to be out of that place.

The other night I got to see Eisley live at the TLA on South Street in Philly. It was a fantastic show, and I got to meet the gals of Eisley afterward at their merch table.

Then, the Phillies won last night, so of course I'm soooo excited about that.

And tonight.........

I get to see TAI! Yay! And I have meet & greet passes and early entry, because of SLH, so I'm pretty excited, because this means that I'll actually get to see during the show. Usually, because I'm so short, I can't see anything unless I'm either right in front or way in the back, standing back from the crowd a little. So I'm mucho happy right now!

I am really happy because I have a lot of great things coming up. Most importantly I finally have my tickets for Gaga! My roommate and I (after some much needed patience) scored floor tickets to the Kanye/Gaga show, only to be cruelly disappointed when they announced it was cancelled. Then Gaga announced her solo tour with TWO Vancouver shows at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre which is WAY smaller than GM place where the Kanye/Gaga show was going to be. So the morning they went on sale my roommate and two of his friends were on the phone with each other trying to get tickets and they got nothing. Then she announced a third show and again it sold out in like a minute but I got tickets!!! SOOOOOOOOOO HAPPY!! (Sorry for the insanley long explanation.)

Anyway I'm also going to the Marianas Trench concert on Monday with The New Cities opening (love them). And right before that concert in my sexual studies class we're having a transgender comedian come to do a show for our class. Monday is going to be a good day. As long as I'm feeling better by then lol. (See the "I'm angry/annoyed/upset" thread)

That's awesome Kaz! I love that Paparazzi song by Lady Gaga, except it's always in my head. But it's great that you were able to get tickets after all.

In a little while I'm going to write all about my Fall Ball experience in another thread, but needless to say, it was purely awesome.

i'm really happy because i got accepted to my first college!! I got accpeted to Pitt, and lathough it is my last choice, I would be very happy to go there because it means that i am actually going to college haha

Congrats Chloe!!! Pitt is a great school. I have many friends who went there.

I'm happy because I'm feeling better. I went to work last night and it wasn't horrible. I had the best sleep I've had all week last night (which still wasn't the greatest) and I feel pretty good today. Now if these darn scrapes would just heal.

I'm glad because i got Dear Jack today in the mail. I just started watching it.

I'm happy/excited because even though my last exam isn't until the 21st, after the 10th it will feel like I'm done. I have Lady Gaga on the 11th which is going to be amazing! I'm working the 12th-16th. On the 12th we are having an Ugly Sweater Christmas party with Secret Santa gift exchange at my house. The 17th I'm cooking dinner for my friend for her birthday and I'm making her a gift that I'm really excited about. The 18th is another friend's bday party. 19th is work, 20th study, 21st exam, 22nd is my friend's Christmas party and then going back to Abby to see the parents the 23-25. And I'm going to help my mom with everything. We're going to make perogies and cookies and I'm going to help her with the dinner and we'll play cards and it is just going to be sooo great because I haven't seen them since Thanksgiving (which was the weekend of Oct 10-12 because it's Canadian Thanksgiving remember). So ya. And all the while I have a whole bunch of other gifts/cards to be making so it's going to be really busy but really fun

ahhhh i got into Carnegie Mellon University!! even though it's only 45 minutes from my house i am so excited!!

Kaz, I know how you feel about it being over.

The other day I finished my last day of classes... ever. Unless I go to grad school which I'm not planning on doing right now. Now I just have my 600 hour internship in the spring and then I graduate!!!

Wahoo Aurora. Ya one more semester to go for my UnderGrad. I'm definitely not going to Grad school right away so I am freakin excited. I went to the Gaga concert the other night and OMG. So fantastic. And the ugly sweater party was great too!

Colin is coming on Thursday night at 7:30PM and staying until New Years... maybe after. AND he has a job interview here on Friday morning in Bryn Mawr, which is like 15 minutes from my house. I really hope he gets it because that would be soooo good. It means that he would move up here and I could actually see him more then once every three months. haha.

Yay!!! That is really excited. I have my fingers crossed that he gets the job!

I am really excited about the gift I'm making for my friend. I'm going to take pictures of it and so I'll post them when it's done

I'm really sad because Colin left after a three week stay here in Philly. However, we had SUCH an amazing time. It was so great. And the best two highlights:

One night we were out and he actually turned to me and asked, "What would you say if i asked you to marry me right now?" I told him I would say yes, but it would have to be a long engagement. And then he smiled and said, "good to know, for if I ever ask you." and winked!!!

Then right before he left he told me that for graduation in May, he's going to take me to Puerto Rico. All I have to do is get a flight down to Raleigh, and he'll pay for round trip to Puerto Rico, as well as our accommodations and everything. So exciting!!!
